Disc Hall of Fame

THE DISCS. THE HUNTS. THE STORIES.

Some discs earn a permanent place in the story—even after they leave the bag. This is my collection of memorable finds, video adventures, and the discs I still talk about.

HALL OF FAME · NO. 001

The 2014 Am Nats Buzzz

A used-bin find. A ten-Buzzz showdown. A $170 finish.

01 / THE FIND

Pulled from the used bins

I found a 2014 Am Nationals Buzzz in the used bins. It became the subject of “I Found My MOST Valuable Used Bin Disc Ever… (RAREST Buzzz?)” and one of the memorable finds in my disc-flipping journey.

02 / THE TEST

More than a collector’s piece

I wanted to see how it flew, so I made a full comparison video, putting it up against nine other Buzzzes. The find became a chance to explore the disc on the course, alongside other versions of the same mold.

03 / THE AUCTION

A wild finish on Facebook

After the find and the comparison, I sold it for $170 in a crazy Facebook auction. The disc moved on to its next owner, but the story earned a spot here.

HALL OF FAME · NO. 002

The Calvin Run Eagle

The wrong Eagle started the chase. The real one made it worth telling.

01 / THE FALSE START

I bought the wrong Eagle

I was chasing the 2015 opaque Calvin Run Eagle. I thought I had found one, but I had bought the wrong run. That mistake became the start of a challenge: flip used-bin discs until I could afford the real thing.

02 / MISSION COMPLETE

From used bins to the real deal

After the hunts and flips, I finally tracked down a real Calvin Run Eagle and paid $250 for it. The 2014 Am Nats Buzzz was part of that same flipping journey. Getting the Eagle brought the chase full circle.

03 / ON THE COURSE

The chase became a first round

I took the Eagle to a course I had never played before. A hot start turned the round into a course-record chase, and I was blown away by how the disc flew. The story had moved from finding the right run to seeing what it could do.

The next chapter: I later compared my Calvin Run Eagle with the new 2026 Calvin Heimburg Tour Series Duo Eagle, putting the older run back in the spotlight as a reference for the new release.
