From $10 toward $5,000.
In my $10 to $5,000 video, I set out to turn used-disc finds into something bigger. I wanted to use the money to prototype my own disc golf disc.
How a used-disc challenge became a TPU prototype—and where we’re headed next.
A used-disc challenge. A bigger dream. My first Cotton Candy disc.
In my $10 to $5,000 video, I set out to turn used-disc finds into something bigger. I wanted to use the money to prototype my own disc golf disc.
As I explored what it would take to develop a disc, I realized how expensive it could become. I still wanted to make it happen, but I needed a way to keep experimenting without the huge upfront cost.
I found a path through 3D printing with TPU. Money from used-disc flips and sales on this website helped fund the work—turning the discs I found into the disc I wanted to create.
That journey has become CC-001: the disc I’m calling my first Cotton Candy release. I’m ramping up production at approximately 5–6 discs a day and want to get these prototypes into players’ hands to try.
Every used-disc purchase, website order, and person following along has helped move this idea forward. Thanks for being part of the first flight. — Luke

See the shape beneath the artwork. These sections come directly from the CC-001 and CC-002 CAD coordinates, drawn at the same scale.
12.5 mm rim width · Rounded wing

11 mm rim width · Revised shoulder and underside

Both designs: 212 mm diameter · 16 mm height · 2.2 mm flight plate
Two prototype shapes in development. These CAD sections show the design differences; flight characteristics are still being tested.
Meet CC-001, my first Cotton Candy disc. Follow the prototypes, watch the production journey, and help bring the design to more players.
